Will Eisner died on January 3, 2005, at the age of eighty-seven, after undergoing heart surgery near his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. At the time of his death, he was working on several projects, including The Plot: The Secret Story of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, which will be published in the Spring of 2005 by W.W. Norton.
